Pierre-Jean Tardy
Alongside his own projects, he participates in numerous creations, including the opera Roman(e), under the direction of Thierry Beaucoup, the duo Ginger, the new creation of the Collectif Pince-Oreilles, Sirène, the K.O. (Karaoké Orchestra) directed by Éric Prost, and the immersive orchestra We Want Our Monney Back.
Since 2023, he has been a member of the group Zangbeto, and in 2024 joined PoiL Ueda, the Janus project of the Grand Sbam, as well as the show Princesse Poison by the Compagnie l’Oreille en Friche. He also plays as a substitute in The Bongo Hop. These projects reflect his commitment to sound exploration and collective creation.
Trained under Pierre Drevet at the CRR of Chambéry, he played in the orchestras of Laurent Dehors (Du Génie dans les Alpages !) and Denis Badault (Orchestre de l’Arc rhône-alpins). With Sébastien Necca and Michel Molines, he recorded his first albums: Split Moments (2013) and Naissance de l’Horizon (2017), which was presented during a tour in China.
Among his earlier experiences, he participated in the Aquarium Orchestra, the quartet Azzango (with whom he recorded the album Mediterraneo, Barcelona, 2011), and the Foolish Ska Jazz Orchestra, with which he toured extensively. An eclectic musician, he has collaborated on numerous other projects and recordings, including Bigre!, The Amazing Keystone Big Band, Baluchon et Zizanie, Gregory Sallet 5tet, Panoramic Project, Strike, and Les Comptes de Korsakoff.
His career has taken him to prestigious stages in France and abroad, including Jazz à Vienne, Jazz in Marciac, Crest Jazz Vocal, Celebration Days Festival, Duc des Lombards, Jazz Terrassa (Spain), the TREMOR Festival, and the Harbin Grand Theater (China).
